The journey to healthier living is paved with good nutrition! At the Central Baptist Weight Loss Surgery Center our Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator/Certified Adult Weight Loss Manager will provide you with the nutritional information necessary to maintain a healthy life, before and after surgery. Even with weight loss surgery, our patients must consume the appropriate amount of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, fluids, vitamins and minerals to maintain health AND lose excess body weight. We have the knowledge, skills and resources available to you 24/7/365 through our website. You can ask the dietitian any questions you have about your diet before and after surgery, or your maintenance nutrition once you have reached your goal. We can help you navigate over the plateaus, and burst through the creative block when you run out of menu ideas or recipes. Just ask, we are here for you. Maintaining a record of your daily eating habits will help you chose the surgery that is most appropriate for you. We have provided diet diary pages in our patient portal, and in the forms section. Please start your diet diaries now, our registered dietitian will want to see them when you have your nutritional consult.
Our patient portal allows you to record your daily eating habits, and check out your pre-surgery diet information. If you’ve forgotten what you can eat in a particular phase of your post-op diet, we’ve got it in the portal. We have vitamin recommendations in the portal as well. We have helpful hints for changing those behaviors that lead you to make poor food choices. If you ever used food as a coping tool, if you’ve ever eaten through your anger, sadness, depression, we have helpful hints for that as well. When you come in for your first day of consults at the Center, we will show you how to access the portal. If you don’t have a computer, don’t worry, we can print everything out for you.
